The Ban on proclaiming HaShem (The Name – of God)

Do you realize why there is or rather why there should not be a ban on proclaiming the name of God per Jewish Orthodox teachings?

Very simply it is this, during the second temple period just before the destruction of the temple, the Romans declared the Jews could no longer say God’s name because of their unruly behavior. (paraphrasing of course)

The bottom line. There is no reason for a ban. Why? Because the Jewish peoples are no longer in danger of losing their lives for speaking the Holy and sanctified name of our creator. His name is Yehovah, Creator of the heavens and the earth.

They would be facing certain annihilation if not for Yehovah remembering His promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Yehovah is waking His people Israel up, known in other words as the lost tribes.

You may have realized Torah is still valid in this current age. Praise Yehovah you have! However, did you buy into the “FB hebrew scholars” that proclaim His name is something other than what I have used in this post? They have some convincing post with “their studies” Yet in my honest opinion have totally and thoroughly missed the mark.

These “scholars” have never spoken let alone read the hebrew language from their birth. They also misunderstand certain passages and take them to mean what they want them to mean to fit into a belief system they have yet to truly let go of, again in my opinion from observation.

It never felt right to me to use some of the names floating out there, and yet I bought into them for a brief period. I praise Yehovah that He opened the mind and granted His servant Nehemia Gordon the wisdom and understanding to bring forth the correct pronunciation of God’s Sanctified name! Although it is true that Nehemia does not (yet) proclaim Yeshua as Messiah. I do believe there is a valid scriptural reason for that.

Yet he (Nehemia) is from the Branch we are grafted into. So I choose to listen to him over anyone else no matter how learned they are or think they are, using worldly logic. If they weren’t raised speaking, reading and writing the hebrew language and have degrees in hebrew then they don’t know anything.

So proclaim His name, yet do not bring His name to naught as you will be held accountable for that. Do not make a vow in His name, unless you fully intend on keeping all of it. Better not to vow at all as Yeshua has said. Bring His name all the glory it deserves.

All praise and glory are Yehovah’s.

Shalom!

    • Yeshua is the Son if God, the Word made flesh who dwelt among us, was killed, and ascended to the right hand of His Father. He would not be able to sit at the right hand of Himself or be the right arm of His Father.
